Nacre

Nacre mimics the supple, natural lines of an oyster shell, perfectly capturing the essence of a low table. Its base is an oval basin made of transparent extra light glass with a mirrored bottom that is formed by carefully shaping the perimeter of a 12mm glass slab that has been carefully moulded using an advanced heat treatment technique. The transparent circular area below is highlighted by the 6+6mm laminated glass in an extra light mirror finish on the top, which is resting atop this basin and gradually fading in a circular pattern. Furthermore, the top may have a hole next to the transparent part that opens to the interior of the basin. This adaptable element turns the area into a useful storage/display unit, terrarium, or flower box.
